There are places up and down the Front Range where the high prairie begins to give way to the foothills in dramatic fashion. Rocky outcroppings break through. Hills and canyons appear. The land … gets interesting. The Canyons is one of these places. In fact, it’s the only new community set in untamed, Colorado landscape, within close distance of metro Denver. So we let the land and the therapy of nature be our guide—avoiding suburban marketing conventions at all costs, and approaching The Canyons as a nature retreat, where “less is more.” We co-created landmarks like the modern-rustic covered bridge that seems to restore your spirit as you cross it, a community coffee shop/info center that invites you to stop and stay awhile, and a brand campaign that expresses the promise of feeling “close away.”
